A lot of weight-management supplements list a dozen or more ingredients, often inside a "proprietary blend" that hides the individual amounts. AlkaTide takes the opposite approach: three named ingredients — Apple Cider Vinegar, Pectin and Citric Acid — with a plain explanation of what each one is doing and, just as importantly, what it isn't.
That's a smaller, less dramatic story than most pages in this category tell. We think it's also a more honest one. Fewer ingredients means fewer places for unsupported claims to hide, and it means you can look up any single component and check our description of it against outside sources yourself.
How it's made
AlkaTide is manufactured in the United States, in a facility that follows Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards covering batch consistency, cleanliness and ingredient identity testing. The formula is Non-GMO, as stated on the bottle.

What we try to avoid saying
We've tried to keep this site free of a few things that are common in this category but that we don't think hold up: invented statistics, specific weight-loss numbers, fabricated customer testimonials, and badges implying regulatory approval that doesn't exist for any dietary supplement. Where the evidence for an ingredient is modest, we've said so rather than rounding it up.
